May updates

Image
Another month has passed and we are now in June, and yes, I am going to be cliché and say it: Where has the time gone? How are we already half way through 2026?? Usually, I would follow these questions up with: what on earth have I done with my life and time? But this time I can honestly say that I have been writing and publishinnngggg ayyyyeee! Lol anyway. Let's get into these updates. Writing updates I took the month of May off of writing, and believe me, I needed the break. I started the month off traveling to visit some family and upon my return, I promptly got sick. I felt pretty terrible for a while and it completely zapped me. Then after I finally started feeling well enough to get back into the swing of things, Mother Nature brought her monthly gift and I was back to being bedridden for almost a week. When I finally got over that, I just didn't feel like writing any more lol, so I decided to take the rest of the month off. But besides that, the income I've been maki...

April wrap-up and a new book release!

I meant to have this blog post up already, but we are now already a week into May and my newest book release has already gone live 😓  Writing & Publishing updates Yes, you read that right. My sixth story, Goddess Playhouse , has gone live on Kindle Unlimited and for some reason I feel really antsy about it. I don't even know why. I finished writing this story last year, as most of my stories were already written and I have been publishing my backlog. But for whatever reason, publishing this one has me fidgety and feeling nervous flutters in my stomach. This was another story that was completely out of my comfort zone, however, I felt so free when writing it. This was cathartic for me and I know I've said that before about my stories, but I don't know what other word to use to describe how I feel and felt during the drafting process. I guess I'm also nervous because I want people to like this one too. Well, I want people to like all my stories lol. This one just ha...

March wrap up & updates

Image
H ello, hello and a merry April Fool's day! I've never been one to participate in April Fool's day shenanigans, but it's fun to see the silly jokes people come up with sometimes. But let's hop right into these updates. Writing updates I am happy to share that I have started writing again. My creative block is slowly passing and I finally sat down and was able to crank out ~800 words. After not writing any words for months now, getting almost 800 down on the page has me feeling really good. And I'm actually liking what I wrote! Which is great lol. I ended up going back to a story I had already started and simply trying again. I guess I just needed a break from it for a while because I reread what I had and didn't even feel the need to scrap anything. Just some minor edits and that's it. As for the other story that I had started then stopped, I reread that and...yea...that one is hot garbage lol. So that one is going in the trash can, pronto. What I've...

February recap and things

Hello there. I know it's mid March and I am just now getting around to giving a writing and self-pub update for February, but things got weird for me in February. Writing stuff No writing updates really. I have been feeling creatively blocked and I know it's because of how I have been feeling with everything going on lately. I have also been struggling at my full-time job. Without going into any details, any time I feel like this, my creativity completely disappears. So once again, I have gone another month without writing any new stories or ideas. Newbie publishing stuff I am projected to make around $5 for the month of February which is an increase from January so yay! I am still debating with myself on if I am going to get an instagram again. I feel like the older I get and the more my country goes to shambles with lack of privacy protections and all that, I become more and more averse to the various social media platforms. YouTube, Reddit, and this blog are my only social m...

My first month as a published author!

Hello, hello. It might be really cliché to say but I honestly can't believe January is over. The first month of the year is gone already and that's just wild to me. I'm trying my best to stay motivated for just about everything in my life right now but it's hard because the world is on fire and my country has turned into a real life dystopian novel. It's kind of always been this way but wow has it gotten so much worse. I'm feeling everything very heavily right now and I keep getting lost in a "what's the point" mindset. Writing stuff When it comes to my writing, I have not written anything new. I started one new story but quickly trashed the idea because it sucked lol. Then I also tried to return to an older idea, but for some reason it's just still not working for me. So, I don't know if I'm ever going to continue that story. Maybe I'll just try to rework some of it into another new story because I don't hate all of it. But as ...

Releasing another book because I'm impatient lol...

Soooo...I published another book. And maybe I might've been a bit impatient. It hasn't even been two full weeks since I published my first story, but I will admit that I mostly just wanted to test the waters with my first story. As I mentioned in my previous blog post, Rainy Day In is my shortest story that I've written and I was just mostly wondering if anyone would even be interested in reading it. Well lo and behold, people have been reading it! Not a lot, I'm still a nobody lol. But I've gotten some Kindle reads, and someone even left a rating on Goodreads, bless their heart. I don't plan on checking Goodreads much. I just wanted to get on there and claim my author page early because I've heard horror stories of people not being able to claim their pages because someone else - who is not them - claimed it first! Like, what even. So, I was able to do that fairly easily. I'm currently waiting to hear back from the Goodreads librarians on whether or no...

Finally hitting publish

Hello everyone and happy new year if you are reading this. I just wanted to stop by and say that I have finally taken the leap and published my first story on Amazon! It's been an interesting final month of 2025 and quite frankly, I am glad 2025 is over. I stayed home and brought in the new year by publishing my book lol. This first book is my shortest and called Rainy Day in . It's a sweet but steamy read about two best friends who finally admit to themselves that they like each other and take the next step in their relationship. This story is probably my least spicy story that I've written but I still like it. It's short and sweet and for the spice rating, on a scale of 1 to 5, this story would probably be a 3. However, the spice/steam rating scales confuse me as there are many out there and none quite align enough to make the ratings consistent. I just know that while there is an explicit scene in my story, many people would probably find it very vanilla, and I'm...
